Thalassa

                                           
Pontus and Thalassa

Thalassa a personification of the Mediterranean, is described as a daughter of Aether and Hemera. Thalassa primeval spirit of the sea. Coupling with her male counterpart Pontus, she spawned the tribes of fish.

  1. Hey! That picture might actually not be Pontus and Thalassa! Thalassa was also depicted with the crab pinchers on the top of her head and in that picture you can see she doesn't have them. It's actually the titan, Oceanus, and his wife, Tethys! "Oceanus and Tethys, Greco-Roman mosaic C2nd A.D., Gaziantep Muse". When you search that up, you will see many different depictions but the overall same look of the Oceanus and Tethys!
